The mobility bus network was developed to provide wheelchair accessible buses on fixed, timetabled services as quickly as possible. As low floor accessible buses were introduced on the main bus network, usage on these limited services declined and they were progressively withdrawn. The 14 remaining services cover areas not served by the main bus network, such as a mobile home park in Old Malden. The services are designed for use by all, not just a specific group of people. They are currently being reviewed to ensure that they continue to cost effectively meet the needs of the people they serve.
