The Port of London Authority is not currently a public authority under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. This is a situation which is common to most harbour and port authorities. The Department of Constitutional Affairs, no less, is responsible for amending the list of authorities that are subject to the Act. They have publicly indicated they are investigating whether port and harbour authorities should be covered by the Act.
