I am deeply committed to the London Film Festival. It is a major event in London's cultural calendar, with an unrivalled reputation for bringing inspirational cinema to the capital. Through the LDA I provide significant funding for the London Film Festival and the level of support has increased substantially over the past few years. I am keen to continue to help the London Film Festival build its international profile and my office is working closely with the key stakeholders - the Bfi, the London Film Festival and Film London, the strategic agency for film in the capital ' to take this forward, including through looking at additional and new sources of funding.
