Question

According to Citizens Advice, 1 in 12 households in the UK do not have bank accounts. This equates to nearly 600,000 households in London. What plans do you have in place to afford these Londoners access to the financial benefits of Oystercards?

The benefits of Oystercards are not contingent upon having a bank account. Oystercards can be obtained against a cash payment and top-ups and ticket purchases can also be made in cash. Oyster cards, top-ups and tickets can be purchased at LUL stations, 2,200 Oyster Ticket Stops and from some national rail stations.
