The ODA is actively developing its renewable energy strategy which will be based on a basket of renewable energy technologies. As part of our considerations we will be looking at the potential to produce clean energy from residual waste and sewage along with considering other technologies such as photovoltaic, biomass boilers, ground sourced cooling and building integrated renewables. The exact details of the approach are still under consideration. However, the recent announcement of the proposal for a wind turbine illustrates the ODAs commitment to meeting high standards with regards to renewable energy.
