In 2004/05, the average level of ridership per bus journey was 14.7. This compares to 12.7 in 1999/00, which is an increase of approximately 16%15. The average number of passengers per bus journey is increasing. In 2002/03, there were on average 14.4 passengers per bus journey. In 2003/04, there were on average 14.7 passengers per bus journey.
