Question

Are you aware of the revised changes to the December 2006 timetable proposed by First Great Western that will see the last train service from Paddington to Greenford before 9pm. Passengers at Acton Main Line station also suffer greatly in the new timetable as there are no trains west between 2054 and 2240 in the evening and the last train now will be almost an hour earlier than now at 2303. This is an unacceptable service for west London commuters. Will you immediately lobby First Great Western Link to review their proposed timetable to ensure that services from west London commuter stations are increased, if not maintained at current levels?

I believe it is wholly unacceptable that these service reductions have been proposed. TfL is in direct contact with both the DfT and First Great Western on this issue and is working on securing an agreement to reinstate of the later Greenford train. Discussions are also continuing on the retiming of the last `all stations' train from Paddington.
