Peter Hendy (Commissioner, Transport for London)

Given that the proposed London Low Emissions Zone would affect national and European operators, our public information campaign has been extensive. Media advertising includes placing adverts in London regional newspapers and some national newspapers, selected trade press titles (including European trade publications), ethnic press titles, radio advertising, posters, direct mailing of businesses and vehicle operators, road show events and face to face events e.g. at ports and motorway service stations. These costs also include a call centre to handle queries.

The budget for the current public and stakeholder consultation on a Low Emission Zone Scheme Order is as follows:

Consultation analysis £60K Attitudinal survey £90K Printing of consultation documents £70K Media Advertising £1.6M

Total £1.82M
