Question

My constituents inform me that the traffic lights situated at the junction where Cazenove Road meets Upper Clapton Road are held on 'red' for nearly two minutes. Can you confirm that you will order an investigation into this so that residents can be given a full explanation?

Signal timings in London are designed in such a way that motorists or pedestrians should not be held on red for nearly two minutes in normal circumstances. I have requested an investigation of the signals to determine whether there was a fault that could have caused such a delay. We will write to you once the investigations are complete.
