Answer for Traffic Light Phasing on Lea Bridge Road

Answered By:
Peter Hendy (Commissioner, Transport for London)

Traffic operations at the Lower Clapton roundabout and on the Lea Bridge Road have been disrupted recently due to road works at a number of locations in the vicinity.

TfL's Directorate of Traffic Operations monitored the roadworks closely and temporarily adapted the traffic signal timings so as to best mitigate the effects. Monitoring of the area will continue and additional ways of alleviating the congestion are being investigated. The permanent traffic signal timings will be re-established when normal traffic conditions return.
