The Mayor has made it clear that he wants TfL to find a way to allow private hire vehicles to stop to pick up and set down passengers on Red Routes in a way that does not interfere with the effective operation of those routes. A TfL working group has been set up for this purpose. Once an approach has been developed, TfL will work with other stakeholders to assess the potential impacts of allowing these vehicles to make use of London's bus lanes.
