I have received complaints from residents in Clapham and Streatham regarding TfL's plans to slightly reduce peak time service frequency along the most southerly stretch of the 137 bus route. TfL believe that the new route, 452, to be introduced between Wandsworth Road and Kensal Rise will reduce demand along the 137 route. However, I feel that this would disadvantage residents who live further south than Wandsworth Road. I submitted my concerns on behalf of local residents to the consultation on this proposal which has recently closed. Will you join me in urging TfL to ensure that the concerns of Streatham and Clapham residents are taken fully into account before a decision is made on the future of the route?

As you are aware, this proposal is part of a consultation on proposed changes to several bus services in inner west London. I can confirm that TfL has received your comments in response to the consultation. TfL is considering all the responses received, together with the transport case for the proposed changes to routes 137 and 452. They will certainly take into account the comments and concerns expressed by your constituents when making a final decision.
