Will you provide me with a clear list of any descoping items which you and Metronet agree in order to reduce the PPP cost over runs? Will you also provide me with a figure for the amount of money that Metronet will save as a result of any agreement to curtail services in order to do more weekend working?

LU has not made any agreements with Metronet on descoping the PPP. However, Metronet is working with LU to reduce its costs, for example putting future contracts to competitive tender instead of using its existing supply chain. Weekend working is covered by the closures regime in the PPP contracts. Under this contract mechanism each Infraco has an allowance of closures (expressed in Lost Customer Hours) it can use during each 7 ½ year contract period. The bid price was predicated on this basis.
