TfL is aware of rat running on Redbridge Lane West. The problem arises from traffic heading for Wanstead seeking to avoid the signal controlled junction at the top of the off slip (Harrier Road). Redbridge Council and TfL are already addressing this matter. The signal timings at the junction of Blake Hall Road with Overton Drive were altered on the 9th of June and signal timings at the junction of Blake Hall Road with Cambridge Park were altered on the 1st of September. Further signal timing alterations are due to be made at the junction of The Green with Cambridge Park this month. The objective is to improve traffic flow and reduce delays on the main road at these locations with the aim of discouraging vehicles diverting through residential roads.
