Question

No, I am certainly happy. I also just wanted to add the wonderful news that we only received yesterday, about a further £20 million for recycling in London over two years, and for the fantastic work that has been done in terms of making sure that London is now considered as a region for recycling. As far as I know, that work was done by myself and John Duffy and your team. I do not remember seeing a Green Party member in that sort of cohort.

Are you having more discussions with DEFRA about how we could be spending that money?

Can I also congratulate you on the very positive role you play in helping define our environmental policies. This extra money is dramatic. Effectively putting £90 million extra into recycling in London will transform it. At the moment, we are in a position where only 59% of London has access to kerbside collection and this money means that 100% of London will get it. We are currently in a position where only about half the people where there is kerbside collection use it. If we can just make certain as we extend it to 100% coverage that we get 100% usage we can achieve the 25% target within two or three years.
