Question

The Addington Hills viewing platform in Croydon affords, on a clear day, a fine panorama from Windsor Castle in the west to Canary Wharf in the east. Although parts of central London are inevitably obscured by the rising ground in the area of Crystal Palace, the view offers the only panorama from a point further south than Blackheath.

Despite this, the view has not been included in the draft Plan for London. Could you confirm whether consideration will be given to including the view from Addington Hills in Table VA1 and Map VA2?

The new View Protection Framework included in the draft London Plan explains that the list of views will be kept under review. As such this view can be considered in the future in line with the criteria for designating views set out in the relevant views policies. .
