A major aim of the bid is to use existing sporting facilities. Firstly, because it just makes good sense. Why would you want to build things when facilities exist? Secondly, it is very much the aim of the IOC to encourage us to be more financially responsible, as opposed to building white elephants that sit there and are not used. So it both makes good sense and it is what is needed to win. So our objective is to use these sporting facilities. For example, we are in discussions with Lords and the Oval and with the Dome which is being developed into a sporting facility. Even a facility like the Excel Centre, which is normally thought of as a conference centre, has the potential to be used for sport. So it is very much part of our plans to do that. .
