Question

Given that your draft London Plan asserts the importance of protecting green belt land will you back Bromley Council and local people if the developer, Linden Homes, were to launch an appeal against Aperfield's status as green belt land? Will you ensure that the Greater London Authority is prepared to give evidence at any inquiry?

Although the planning application for housing on Green Belt land at Biggin Hill was not referred to me, I totally support Bromley Council's decision to refuse planning permission, and will offer support in the form of written representations to any planning inquiry should the applicant appeal. I will also make representations at the Bromley UDP public inquiry in support of Bromley Council's rejection of the applicant's objection to the retention of the land in question as Green Belt. .
