Question

Despite a question to you in October 2000, and letters to you and to Derek Turner since that time, there is still a desperate need for a pedestrian crossing at the dangerous A205 Upper Richmond Road Junction with the A306 Roehampton Lane/Rocks Lane. On each occasion I have been assured that the matter is being looked at and that the whole scheme is being redesigned, however now in July 2002, nothing whatsoever has been done. When can I assure worried parents of primary school children, patients attending Queen Mary's Hospital and students of Surrey University, Roehampton that a safe crossing will at last be provided? .
