I attended the Hope Charity Annual Ball on 2 March 2002.I addressed the Capital Woman Conference on 9 March 2002; on this occasion much of the audience comprised representatives of a wide range of voluntary organisations and charities.I addressed the RNID (Royal National Institute for Deaf People) Question Time on 13 March 2002.I addressed the Greater London Forum for the Elderly AGM on 22 March 2002.I addressed the launch of the Standing Together Against Intolerance pledge card on 22 March 2002. The audience included several charities and voluntary organisations, many of which were involved in the development of this initiative and were key partners with the GLA.I attended a reception at the Harry Simpson Memorial Library Trust on 25 March 2002.While I receive a large number of invitations from organisations and requests for meetings, my ability to attend meetings and functions is limited. In order to engage with the charity and voluntary sector, I have established a variety of processes through which regular contact is made and maintained with voluntary organisations and charities by my officers. These include meetings, events, correspondence and other activities. There is therefore a multitude of routes through which organisations can raise their views and feed into my policies and strategies. .
