I recognise the need to improve London's orbital transport links. Last summer, TfL consulted members of the public on East London Transit, a potential 53 km network of high quality, high-priority bus/trolleybus routes. The network could support regeneration areas and link the following locations within Havering: the Centre of Excellence for Manufacturing and Engineering, Rainham station, Elm Park, the new Oldchurch Hospital, Romford Town Centre and Collier Row/Harold Hill. The consultation indicated wide general support for ELT but several local alignment issues in Havering are still to be resolved. .
