Tramtrack Croydon Limited operated 14% of scheduled kilometres during the strike and provided replacement bus services where no tram service was provided.Tramlink is an open boarding system and all passengers are required to purchase a ticket (or pass) prior to travelling. Estimates of ridership are obtained from sample surveys and expansion of cash sales figures using agreed factors. No surveys were carried out during the strike. No direct count of passenger journeys is carried out and no count of passengers on trams or replacement buses was made during the strike. It has therefore not been possible to produce an accurate estimate of the trips lost as a result of the industrial action on 26 March. .
