Question

Do you see any prospect for looking at the East London Line extension proposals taking the line on to Cheam? There is good space at Cheam for a terminus.

Frankly no. One of the difficulties of the East London Line extension proposals to date has been the inter-working of services from different corridors of the National Rail network in South London. There have already been more corridors considered than can sensibly operate into the one, central section of the East London Line.If services were to terminate at Cheam they would have to go via Sutton and this would mean abandoning Wimbledon as an East London Line terminus. This is not being considered. .
