Can the Mayor confirm that London Buses originally ruled that Emlyn/Larden Road was unsuitable for a bus route because of the traffic calming measures? What has been done since then to change your planners minds? .

London Buses has always thought that Emlyn/Larden Roads were suitable for a bus route, a view confirmed by the subsequent route tests conducted on route 272 before its introduction, in the presence of the operator, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the police. As some traffic calming measures can have detrimental effects on passengers, drivers and the vehicles, London Buses often looks at whether these measures can be altered or removed to support bus operation. However, in this case, the bus successfully negotiated the existing measures and no modifications were required. .
