London Underground have taken several steps in conjunction with the British Transport Police to tackle this problem. These are: - Closer liaison between BTP and London Underground staff. - Improvements in station CCTV format to aid Police investigations - The recruitment of a Security Programmes Manager who will co-ordinate trespass - vandalism actions across the London Underground network. - All school liaison visits by London Underground Managers are putting a greater emphasis on the problems caused by, and safety implications of, trespass and vandalism. - Improvements to the National Rail / Railtrack fencing which should deny access to the line from the local area.

Six arrests have already been made as a result of this initiative. . .
