Question

In the last Mayors Questions, you mentioned a plan to form a three-person Committee made up of Lord Macdonald, Alistair Morton and yourself, to make sure that rail projects being considering are pushed through without delays. Can you confirm the establishment of this Committee and that you will publish the dates, format and minutes of the committee's meetings?

Answer for Rail Projects Committee

Answered By:
The Mayor

Lord MacDonald has proposed the creation of this Committee to oversee development and implementation of major rail projects. The DETR are organising this meeting, but have yet to fix a first meeting. Together with the SRA, I am pressing for an early meeting. Until we meet it is uncertain what the agenda will be and whether it would be appropriate to publish minutes of the meetings. I will in any case ensure the Assembly is kept informed of progress on decisions and development of these schemes. .
