Answer for Night Flights

I did not `take the Government to court over night flights'. The case was brought by solicitors acting on behalf of eight affected residents. There has been a series of legal actions since a change in 1993 in the way night flights were regulated " this is not an issue between me and the present Government. I did, of course, consider all interests, including economic, before deciding to join with local boroughs - of all political persuasions - in making up a shortfall in costs already incurred. The case can be seen as clarifying an important area of human rights. The European Court in Strasbourg is now expected to decide after Christmas.
