Answer for Satellite bus station at St James, Walthamstow

Answered By:
The Mayor

No.

The existing bus station gives good interchange with rail and tube services and good access to the High Street. Ideally there would be a greater bus presence in future as bus usage and the network grows.

TfL will continue to press for sufficient space to provide a convenient safe public transport interchange.

The site at St James is needed in the short term to stand routes while the bus station is rebuilt. In future, it is likely to be used for a small number of terminating buses and we will explore the possibility of providing useful additional passenger facilities where cost effective to do so.
