Answer for Business Advisory Forum

Answer for Business Advisory Forum

Answered By:
The Mayor

The Business Advisory Forum was one of the proposed mechanisms laid out in my statement on my relationship with the Business Community in June. The development of this Forum appears in the corporate GLA business plan, which is currently being finalised. My office is regularly in touch with key business representatives. I will soon be recruiting for two senior officers to assist in overseeing relations with business. It is still my intention to appoint a specific new advisory forum to periodically consult with and advise on key issues in London but the existing breadth of contacts with business contacts means that establishing such a new body is not urgent and should evolve organically. In the meantime I am very pleased that my approach has found favour with the business community as demonstrated by a recent poll conducted by London Monitor were half of London's executives expect that my election as Mayor will be good for their business.
