Your commissioned MORI poll on the partial privatisation of the Tube included a question on the merits of re-nationalising the national rail system.

Is it really fully appropriate to spend Londoners' money on garnering political views on national political issues ?

The poll I commissioned from MORI was designed to inform the development of my draft transport strategy. The strategy covers all modes of transport, including national rail, so it was appropriate for me to ask questions about national rail. Problems afflicting national rail have a significant impact on London and Londoners, so it was important to discuss these highly topical issues.
