In the course of your career as a restaurant reviewer, have you ever given your comments on establishments run or owned by current members of GLA staff or those in the GLA family of organisations? How would such a relationship be declared?

Answer for Declaration of Interests

Answer for Declaration of Interests

Answered By:
The Mayor

Unless other board members or officers have sidelines I didn't know about, I suspect that this question refers to the Deputy Chair of Transport for London, and his excellent Chinese restaurant. I did review this establishment when I was writing restaurant reviews for the Evening Standard. However, that review was written before the mayoral election (and the bill paid by the Evening Standard), and I stopped writing reviews on my election as Mayor. I cannot think that writing a restaurant review qualifies as a `relationship', nor can I think that it is necessary or appropriate to declare it, though I have never made any secret of my enthusiasm for Dave's honey roast pork.
