Walking tour

This tour is part of a successful Small Grants Scheme application and is a commissioned activity on behalf of OPDC as a Great Place Scheme activity.

Scrubs Lane has an interesting industrial past and present. Come on this walk to hear about it and visit what is there now. On our walk we will first visit St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery where some notable people are buried, like the Crimean War nurse Mary Seacole and the Polish female James Bond - Krystyna Skarbek-Granville, and then walk back from the canal to see some of the businesses and finishing at a local café.

Please be aware there are steps on this walk.

After the tour, we don’t need to rush; we can sit over a nice cup of tea at a little local place! We may even have something to eat there, like we often do. We can relax having a chat and a recollect with printouts and additional information to help.

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. These walks take place across a number of terrains, so please wear comfortable and sensible shoes.
  2. This is the eighth and final in a series of walks and talks in the Old Oak & Park Royal area supported by the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation and the Small Grants funding.
