New Year's Eve fireworks transport updates

There are some major works coming up over the Christmas and New Year period from Saturday 23 Dec to Mon 1 January which will affect Southeastern, Thameslink and Southern customers wishing to travel to London.

Some of the changes include:

  • Southeastern trains will not serve Cannon Street, Charing Cross, London Bridge or Waterloo East. Trains will divert to Blackfriars, Victoria and Waterloo.
  • Thameslink trains will not run between Blackfriars and St. Pancras throughout, with fewer trains than usual running on the rest of the network.
  • Southern trains will run fewer trains than a usual weekday.

More information about the change to services will be available on the Thameslink Programme website.

Industrial action

Industrial action is planned for Sunday 31 December on South Western Railway services, resulting in a limited train service operating before and after the event.

You can keep up to date with the latest information by visiting www.nationalrail.co.uk and www.tfl.gov.uk. People using South Western Railway services can find additional information at www.southwesternrailway.com.

We strongly advise you to plan your outbound and return journey before travel.
