Additional documents: Minutes: 5.1 The Committee received the report of the Executive Director of Assembly Secretariat as background to putting questions to the following invited guests: · Clara Cullen, Venue Support Manager, Music Venue Trust; · Lorna Lee, Assistant Director of Culture and Heritage, London Borough of Waltham Forest; · Paul Bristow, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Arts Council England; · Aditi Anand, Artistic Director, Migration Museum; and · Abdul Shayek, Artistic Director and Joint Chief Executive Officer, Tara Theatre. 5.2 A transcript of the discussion is attached at Appendix 1. 5.3 During the course of the discussion, the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Arts Council England, agreed to write to the Committee once Arts Council England had made its funding decision in October 2022 to outline how cultural venues outside of central London can be protected. 5.4 Resolved: (a) That the report and discussion be noted. (b) That authority be delegated to the Chair, in consultation with party Group Lead Members, to agree any output arising from the discussion. |
