National sports charity StreetGames launched in 2007 to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of sport and physical activity.
The StreetGames mission is, “Changing sport, Changing communities, Changing lives” and the exhibition highlights examples of how this is realised.
With funding from the Mayor’s Sports Participation Fund, the organisation has partnered with seven major London-based housing associations to deliver community sports hubs. The display shares successful examples of using sport as a vehicle for improving physical wellbeing and offering personal development to thousands of young people from some of the most deprived areas of London.
