Between now and 2050 London’s population is expected to increase from 8.6 million to 11.3 million. How will we meet the additional energy demands associated with a growing population?
The London Energy Plan will help answer this important question. On Tuesday 23rd February please join us for a showcase of future energy scenarios for London, the first stage of the London Energy Plan.
Our work brings together existing evidence and data, and creates new data and models to help London to identify the impact of a growing and evolving city on our energy infrastructure. It suggests options for how we can meet and manage energy demand whilst keeping costs down and hitting our climate change targets.
The scenarios to 2050 event will include:
- An opportunity to use the first spatial map showing London’s energy demand, supply and infrastructure to 2050 across four scenarios;
- Presentations by guest speakers providing insight into London’s future energy demand and how it could be met;
- Discussion of the outputs from and next steps for the London Energy Plan with a range of stakeholders.
Please register your interest to attend here.
An agenda for the event will follow.
