The London Accessible Housing Register
The London Accessible Housing Register (LAHR) project, which is no longer being actively developed, provided resources to help social housing landlords to collect, display and store information on their accessible housing stock. Landlords seeking to implement the LAHR can consult the good practice guide and training resources listed below. We do not have any current plans to further develop the LAHR, and any queries regarding its implementation should be directed to the relevant landlords.
How the LAHR can help
There is a shortage of accessible housing in the capital to meet the needs of disabled Londoners, while some accessible and adapted homes are let to people who do not need them.
With knowledge of their accessible housing stock, landlords can better ensure accessible housing is available to those who need it.
Who benefits from the LAHR?
The LAHR resources support landlords to enable disabled homeseekers to make informed choices about their housing, and more accurately identify properties that would meet their access needs.
An accessible home environment promotes independence and can reduce the care and support needs of people moving from less accessible accommodation.
