On Wednesday 9 May 2018, we published an Open Call briefing for Artists' Expressions of Interest to a major new socially-engaged artist led project which uncovers, celebrates and showcases the industrial heritage of Park Royal by connecting it to the lived experience of its contemporary communities and businesses.

Draft Local Heritage Consultation Event

OPDC - draft Heritage Listings Consultation event
On 21 February 2018, we held an event in Harlesden, just north of our boundary area, to inform the community on our draft Local Heritage Listings Consultation. The purpose of this consultation is to give the local community the opportunity to shape the Local Heritage Listings for this part of west London. The consultation closed on 22 March 2018.

Construction work to deliver 605 new homes for London begins

On Friday 29 September, a number of local residents, stakeholders and apprentices already working on the scheme gathered on site, at the top of Old Oak Common Lane, to mark this significant moment for the UK’s largest regeneration project.

On Saturday 2 September, OPDC staff and the sunshine were all out in force at the Old Oak Common train depot. It was a really busy day and brilliant opportunity to talk to lots of people about the future of Old Oak and Park Royal. Not to mention going on a tour of the Elizabeth Line Depot.

We held our first community event in May, which was a 'Tea Dance' and enabled over 80 local residents to come together to dance, drink tea and much more.

Creating a shared vision for Old Oak and Park Royal

Establishing a shared vision is crucial to delivering 25,500 new homes and 65,000 new jobs in west London. In September 2016 we hosted our first Planning Seminar with landowners, developers, consultants, the three surrounding Boroughs and other key delivery partners.
