Work and Health Survey: The Results

Work & Health Survey: The Results

Start date: 12 February 2018
End date: 01 March 2018

  • Half of all employees with a longstanding physical or mental health condition have hidden it from their employer.
  • 1 in 10 Londoners arrives home feeling exhausted from work every single day.
  • Only 40% of low paid employees feel their employer would support them if they had to take time off for a mental illness, compared to 59% of higher paid employees.

The London Assembly Health Committee commissioned Populus to survey 1013 Londoners working in the capital. The survey asked a number of questions about workplace support and attitudes to health conditions at work, as well as demographic information about those answering. This fresh research will be used to inform the committee's investigation into workplace health support, the findings of which will be published in Spring 2018.

The above are just a few of the findings. If you wish to use any of the data for your own research, the full survey findings can now be found below.
