Domestic Abuse Offences

Start date: 30 October 2019
End date: 03 March 2020

In 2018, there were just over 85,000 domestic abuse offences recorded by the Met: making up around ten per cent of all recorded offences and averaging around 230 per day.  The Met has seen an 85 per cent rise in recorded domestic abuse offences since 2011.

The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee is currently investigating how the Met responds to domestic abuse offences across London and what impact the Mayor is having through the commitments he made in his Police and Crime Plan.
