The London Assembly today published the findings of its investigation into gypsy and traveller site provision in London.
Amongst other recommendations, the Committee calls on the Mayor to introduce a temporary site for gypsy and travellers, as pioneered by Leeds City Council.
A letter to the Mayor outlining the findings, alongside the complete list of submissions received as part of the investigation, can be found below.
In December 2015, the London Assembly wrote to Housing Minister Brandon Lewis to outline concerns regarding the impact of the Housing and Planning Bill on Gypsy and Traveller communities - see below. The Minister's reply was recieved in January 2016 and is also included below.
