The Mayor’s Climate Change Mitigation and Energy Annual Report

Date published:
31 March 2014

The Mayor’s Climate Change Mitigation and Energy Annual Report provides an update on activity undertaken in the 2011-13 financial years to reduce London’s CO2 emissions and secure its energy supply. It also provides analysis and commentary on levels of CO2 emissions in London in 2011.

The Mayor has a target to reduce London’s CO2 emissions by 60 per cent of 1990 levels by 2025. The 2011 climate change mitigation and energy strategy, Delivering London’s Energy Future, set out the activity required by the Mayor, government, local authorities, businesses and Londoners to meet this target. This Annual Report updates on programmes outlined in the strategy, including the Decentralised Energy Programme Delivery Unit, RE:FIT, RE:NEW and the Mayor’s Low Carbon Entrepreneur, as well as initiatives delivered by London’s wider market.
