The Environment Committee has responded to the Government's consultation on proposals to ban the distribution and sale of plastic straws, stirrers and cotton buds. The Committee broadly agrees with the ban and urges the Government to go further with a ban on unflushable single-use wet wipes which contain plastic. This builds on the work undertaken for the Unflushables report.
