Young Londoners' NetworkSpeak up for LondonThe Young Londoner's Network has been set up to get more young people, aged 7 - 18, involved in decisions about London. By joining the network, you will be able to make your opinions heard by the people who make decisions about how London is run. What is the Young Londoner's Network?
It brings together all kinds of people and groups, including
Through the network, children's representatives and some children will meet regularly with London's decision-makers, including people from the Greater London Authority and the organising committee of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Be a VIPBy joining the Young Londoner's Network, you can be 'in the loop' when changes are taking place in London. You will be kept up to date through emails, the website, information sent out on specific projects and invitations to special events. Take chargeYou will also have the chance to help set up and run events to get more young Londoners involved. From time to time, the network organisers will want young Londoners to help them find out what other young Londoners think - particularly those who don't usually have a say. They will do this through the 'peer outreach' team. Find out more about the peer outreach team. The network will link up lots of different youth groups and children's representatives from around London. As part of the Young Londoners Network there will be a special group called the 'LYNK UP crew' children and young people aged between 7 and 18 years who will help plan events for other young Londoners and make sure that the young people who get involved get to hear about how they have actually made a difference.
