FREE website design and construction courses in HackneyPoint Blank want Hackney teens interested in media and technology to design and construct an exciting new youth website for Hackney Youth Service. The site will offer local young people of entertainment, information and advice and let them know about local events and services. It will also be a place to meet and chat with friends online, and the Remix Machiine will let users create their own music and mixes to share with friends. Over the course of two years Point Blank will host weekly drop-in training sessions starting on Wednesday 11 March, 12-6pm at their music and media college in Hoxton. Free Courses!Point Blank will also be running a series of FREE one week accredited media courses during school holidays. The training will be chosen by the young people involved in the project and through the site from Point Blank’s range of courses, including Web Marketing, Radio Broadcasting, Music Production, DJ’ing, Film Production and Street Dance. To kick off the programme, the first of these courses will be Web Construction, taking place over Easter. Who Can Apply?To be eligible for this training, applicants need to be residents of Hackney aged 13 -19 years old (up to 25 for those with learning disabilities).
