Young Londoners have their say on climate change and the London PlanYoung people will be living with the effects of climate change. We asked 67 youngsters aged 8-18 what they thought London would be like in 2020, at a series of four events. The research showed that children and young people care deeply about climate change and have strong views about how the London Plan can help. They argued London could become a 'Heaven' or 'Hell' place to live in, depending on how we act now. Steps we can take to protect the future include recycling more, walking and cycling rather than using cars and cutting down on waste. The young people also believed there should be more information for people of all ages on the causes of climate change. They also felt strongly that London’s green spaces should stay that way and not be built on, and that London’s transport and buildings should use less energy. Read the full report (PDF file).
