Your school probably has art classes, but if you’d like more practice and a bit of extra teaching there are lots of opportunities in London. Get involved in the Big Draw. This is a campaign to get EVERYONE drawing. A list of events in London, including workshops and art fairs. Go to the Tate Britain one of the most famous art galleries in the world and practice drawing. There are always new events being arranged like painting workshops and family drawing days. Find out about what’s happening soon. Every year there’s a children’s art day in July. Find out how you can take part. If you can’t get to any art events then you can always practice your talents online. Check out Art Kids Rule, which will teach you about art and give you some hands-on experience. Of course, if you can’t make it to any of these events, don’t worry – if you’re good at art all you need is a pencil, some paper and a bit of hard work to get practising. Why not draw pictures of your local area and send them in to us? Young at Art provides opportunities in art and design for young people in London.
