Climate change and pollution
Many people believe that climate change is the biggest threat currently facing our world. Although there is still some debate about what is behind the increase in world temperatures, there is no doubt that the world is getting warmer – and that our local climate is changing as a result.
Climate change is caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide (C02) and other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.
Freak weather events, like fires in America and floods in the UK, are predicted to become more frequent because of climate change.
