What the Architecture Crew means to me

In the Architecture Crew you get an insight into buildings from a perspective you never really thought about – you meet great people and get a simple understanding of the adult world of design planning.

I first joined because I was bored. There was never a club that interested me but then Architecture Crew popped up at Eastlea School in Newham.

Originally it was called the “Open Your Eyes” project. We were able to do a lot of animation, camera work – and have ideas about things that would brighten up the dull areas of the borough.

During this project we chose the name Architecture Crew, which has stuck with us until now. Architecture Crew has gone sky high and has brought a lot more people together rather than just pupils of Eastlea School.

Later on we were told that the Architecture Crew would be able to spread its glorious wings for another three years as we were funded by the National Lottery. Great!
