The worst things about Newham

There’s nothing exciting about Newham except the Olympics coming up. There are hardly any facilities about like youth clubs, where young people can chill instead of hanging about on the streets.

The streets are full of rubbish because there’s not enough bins - it takes ten minutes before you find one! Crime: if it ain’t padlocked, don’t count on it being there when you get back.

I can’t stand the 69 route into Canning Town (at home time). I hate things being stolen so easily, although I know it happens everywhere.

It’s too dark outside, especially on winter nights when the clocks turn back in time.

I hate the way people in cars feel so dominant over passers-by, like they’re on two flashy legs rather than wheels.

Also I’m worried about the lack of jobs for teens.

The worst things about Newham are:

Not enough arcades with computers games
Not enough sports courts eg. Basketball for young people to play
Not many youth clubs
Schools with bad toilets
Bad houses - we want modern and wonderful houses
No trees - we need more green, more shade
